Terri Forehand RN
I am a Christian and a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and hopefully an inspiration to some. My nursing career has been filled with experiences in the Emergency room, Adult ICU, Pediatric ICU, and Neonatal ICU. Twenty years in the ED and NICU in Valparaiso were some of my best nursing years, And more of the best in my last two nursing job at Eskenazi and Frankfort, where I have met life long friends.
I have done both adult and pediatric home health a clinical manager and one of my favorite jobs was elementary school nursing, where I learned so much about how kids learn. I took that knowledge and taught grades 9-12 in the areas of Health Occupations, Medical Terminology, and Intro to Health where I got students interested in a career in the health field.
We have lived in small towns and in the country and our favorite is being on acres, where we raised Alpacas. We have owned a small quilt shop two different times, one in Nashville, Indiana where we lived in a log cabin and one in Wheatfield, where besides the alpacas, we had rescue horses, dogs, and cats, Can you say "Animal lover" ?
I share this montage of the last 38 years because all of these experiences have taught me something positive about writing, business, and creativity,
I continue to hone the skills I use to write, paint, and create. It is a continuous work in progress,
But I'm not done yet.
I love writing/freelancing and designing. I love making bears, dolls, and Santas. I love painting, antiquing, and anything primitive.
And I love inspiring others to try new things too, be their best, and do what they love.
I hope to hear from you about what gives you joy or what I can do to help you find the answers to your business needs, your personal journey to creativity, or the inspiration you need to try something new, like creative writing. It is going to be a great New Year,
